The influence of natural draft on the aerological safety of diamond mines

Authors: Khubieva V.M.

The article deals with the ventilation of diamond mines. The main attention is paid to the thermal regime and the appearance of natural draft in mines located in the Far North of Russia. A formula for determining the magnitude of the natural thrust depression for mines is proposed. A method for calculating the natural thrust depression and taking it into account when interacting with the main ventilation units is developed. The results of the research of the influence of natural thrust on air distribution in mines are given.

Keywords: aerological safety, mine ventilation, natural draft, positive and negative natural draft, thermal depression, main ventilation unit, ventilation shaft, skip shaft.
