Automated integrated production and selling planning at processing plant in the cement industry

The study focuses on optimization modeling of integrated planning. In industry, in particular, in the cement sector, integrated planning encompasses all process flows of planning at all scales, including sales forecasting, planning of production, purchase and delivery chains, as well as customer service control. The author pays emphasis on automation of the production and selling planning process based on the business income maximization. The proposed model of linear optimization aims to improve efficiency of decision-making on balancing volumes of clinker and cement production and selling by manufacturing plants, as well as on redistribution of commodities flows between manufacturers and regions in Russia. The presented implementation chart of the prototype optimization model ensures integration with the current IT systems. The model includes systematized constraints, input data and their sources. It is shown that the modeled final plan allows production, logistics and commerce within the integrated platform and with artificial intelligence supervision of optimization of expert decision-making. The studies make it possible to identify key preparation actions and to list information technologies which ensure technological availability of digitalization in terms of the cement industry.
