DIRECTIONAL CHANGES IN THE PROPERTIES OF HARDENING FILLING MASS THROUGH THE APPLICATION OF NATURAL FIBER MATERIAL

A method of hardening of filling mass that includes placing in the formed mass of reinforcing elements along with hardening mixtures is proposed, and chrysotile asbestos are used as reinforcing elements. Relative changes in the strength characteristics from asbestos contents are extreme in nature and are well approximated by polynomial functions of the second and third orders. Reliability of approximation is 0,958—0,995. Analysis of the data shows that an increase in the compressive strength of the mass (25—30 %) and flexural strength (26—32 %) is observed when a 3—6 % by weight of the binder of chrysotile asbestos are introduced. However, it is founded that the content of asbestos fibers over 3 % preclude transporting through pipes of filling mixture and its spreading in the chamber. Three percent concentration of the fiber from the binder weight (or 0,422 % by all weight) is optimal and is recommended for use. Evaluation of tensile strength of the samples according to the method of splitting showed that the introduction of the 3 % asbestos increases it by 35 %, while reducing the relative deformation of shrinkage of about 2 times.

ACOUSTIC MONITORING OF THE CONDITION OF ROCK MASS AND FORECAST OF DYNAMIC PHENOMENA

The existing methods of forecasting dynamic phenomena do not meet the modern requirements for accuracy and high intensity of mining operations. Further improvement of the methods should be aimed at ensuring continuous monitoring by using numerical values of prognostic parameters and their threshold values. One of the potential implementations of such approach is utilization of natural and artificial seismoacoustic and acoustic signals. For the mines of Donbass, which are most hazardous in terms of the gas-dynamic phenomena, the methods for solving a number of forecasting tasks based on registration and analysis of the artificial acoustic signal originating in rock mass under the influence of mining equipment have been successfully applied. Based on these advances an automated system has been developed for acoustic monitoring of the condition of the rock mass and forecasting of the dynamic phenomena SAKSM, which includes equipment for recording and transmitting the signal and software for processing and analyzing the signal. The system provides forecasting of all types of dynamic phenomena and geological fauts ahead of a moving face. The SAKSM system has undergone acceptance testing and is recommended for utilization in coal mines in Russia.

ON MODELS AND OPTIMIZATION METHODS FOR PROBLEMS OF OPEN PIT DESIGN

The setup and solution of ultimate and intermediate open pit design contour determination problems with the aid of optimization methods and man-machine dialog are considered. Possibilities and prospects of methods based on block, contour and combined representation of a quarry shape are compared. For Lerchs-and-Grossman type methods ways of determination of a graph of possible block mutual disposition are proposed that enable to take into account non-uniformity of a rock mass resulting in change of stable inclination of slopes. It is emphasized that the efficient treatment of such non-uniformity may be effected with a iteractive process of localized change of horizontal block sizes. Possibilities of emprovement of pit limits obtained from a block model by imposing condition of transportation access are considered as well.
Methods of open pit limits optimization via contour models are treated as ways of emprovement of a pit principal shape and contour obtained from block models to satisfy additional conditions of technological implementability. It is proposed to evolve recent contour models into the model with parameter skips on surfaces separating rock types and techmological zones. Such models may be constructed like hybrid dynamic systems (event-swithched processes).

OPTIONAL ASSESSMENT ENDORSEMENT OF THE VALIDITY OF DESIGN DECISIONS COAL MINES
The results of the option of evaluating investment projects in comparison with the method of the net discounted cash flows in relation to coal deposits. Mining of coal to be interpreted as an option companies to delay and can be estimated using the Black — Scholes model, model evaluation neimitiruemogo real call option and models based on the full time pricing structure. Proved that the more universal is the real options valuation model based on mass criterion. This model takes into account the specificity of an investor who decides to participate in the project, namely, takes into account the size of its equity and its level of unacceptable risk. Based on the above coal companies and a separate independent coal mines rationally focus major efforts to increase revenues rather than spending cuts — this conclusion seems a key element in the choice of management strategy option value. Conducted testing of optional approach based on available data on actual projects implemented in areas of new development confirmed that the real options method gives a more objective evaluation of design decisions technological systems of coal mines and the argument for a positive investment decision, compared with DCF.

RISKS FOR INFORMATION SECURITY OF FINANCIAL ESTABLISHMENT (BANK)

Based on the cross-disciplinary analysis, the risks for the information security of a financial establishment are identified to be used in modeling hazards for different banks. The hazard models are the basis of quantitative evaluation procedures for information security efficiency and assessment of influence of information security measures on a financial establishment performance. The article highlights the scientific and practical importance of the quantitative evaluation procedure and the information security systems. The content and essence of entitative correlation between performance and information security of a bank are exposed. It is emphasized that objective assessment of risks allows a comprehensive approach to information security and, furthermore, attention of senior management, which is important as the efficient information security implementation in the up-to-date conditions requires both financial investment and appropriate support by bank promoters, management of executive departments and board of directors.
Key words: information security, banking, efficiency, measures of efficiency, hazards and risks, financial stability, expert appraisements, finance indexation, targets, key performance indicators.

THE DEVELOPMENT AND RESEARCH INTO 6—35 кV NETWORK PROTECTION AGAINST GROUND FAULTS PROTOTYPE DEVICE

This article presents the results of development and research into new high-efficient protection against ground fault prototype device performance in 6—35 kV compensated network. Protection against ground fault (GF) prototype and physical model of a compensated network were development for experimental research. Waveform characterizing work of protection for sustainable and intermittent faults were obtained as experiment results. Based on these waveforms there was found that protection against GF device will successfully respond to both stable and in the intermittent ground faults, since the coefficient of sensitivity protection was 4–75.
Key words: medium voltage networks, protection against ground faults, compensated neutral, prototype device.

EFFECTIVE APPLICATION OF POLYMERIC MATERIALS IN INDUSTRY

The current technologies reduce the dependence of production on negative aftereffect of abrasive and aggressive environments. Polymeric materials offer this opportunity with no heavy capital input required. The author describes polymeric materials ABRAZIVELAST®, UKREPAN® and KREMKREPAN® developed by RVSK. The article reviews basic physico-mechanical parameters of polyurethane rubber and specifies spare parts and elements made of polyurethane rubber for process equipment in mines. With the polyurethane parts, the equipment performance is improved and the repair interval is extended.

NATURAL TYPES OF THE PYRITACEOUS ORES AND CRITERIA FOR PROGNOSIS AND SEARCH INDUSTRIAL ORES (ON AN EXAMPLE OF URAL MOUNTAINS)

Commercial sulfide ore deposits are the peculiar ore bodies formed on the basis of unstratified iron pyrite entrained in block folding and dynamometamorphism. Structural control of commercial sulfide ore deposits in the Ural is induced by destructive tectonogenesis (squeezing tectonics) and matured in the course of the second mountain building under synchronous oceanization of Atlantic rift valley bottom.
